Sarcophagus with erotes and masks
From Ostia.
Date: 170-220 AD. W. 2.08, h. 0.36, d. 0.57.
The front is adorned with two long garlands composed of fruits and carried by three erotes. Dionysiac masks are depicted above the garlands. A winged sea griffin with a coiled body is shown on each side, swimming over waves towards the front.
