Portrait of a woman
Found in 1803 in the portico of the Tempio Rotondo or in the Basilica.
Date: Trajanic - early-Hadrianic. H. 0.605, h. of the head 0.30.
The size of the portrait and the diadem suggest that we are looking at a member of the Imperial family, perhaps Matidia, the mother of Sabina (wife of Hadrian).
