Block V,II was investigated in detail in the years 1973 - 1976 by a team from the Free University Amsterdam led by Hans Boersma. The block was restored extensively in 1982. In 1985 the publication was printed: 'Amoenissima Civitas'. The book is exemplary because of its detailed description and catalogue of each building.
