The Square of the Corporations

North porticus - statio 26

There is no identifying text. In the back room part of an elaborate mosaic frame with a wicker-work motif has been preserved, identical to a frame in stationes 27 and 28. Apparently these three spaces originally formed one office. In the front room a new mosaic was installed, mostly taken up by a geometric motif. In the south-east corner is a simplified lighthouse, a subtle statement, not attracting attention, almost as if it is the "logo" of the mosaic workshop that was active on the square.
