The lines begin with the names of slaves. The X (sometimes with a vertical bar) stands for "denarii" and is followed by numbers. To the right are presumably gifts to the couple Mithras - Bacchus or for shared banquets, amongst which was wine: BINV for "vinum" (parallels in the mithraeum of Dura Europos). Below the graffiti are a small marble herm of Bacchus in a small niche and, further to the right, a small marble herm with a female head wearing a wreath of leaves, covered with plaster apart from the head.

G0016 - ELEPHANT
- Room 28, on the inside of the right window frame looking into courtyard 28.
Interpretation: presumably the body of an elephant showing 'criss-cross' markings, a technique frequently used with drawings of animals. Several deer are drawn like this at Herculaneum, as is a horse at Dura Europus. There ia a graffito of a mouse being chased by an elephant with similar markings, which was found on the Piazzale delle Corporazioni.
