Portrait of a man, perhaps Constantius Chlorus (1844)
Found on the north side of the Piazzale delle Corporazioni (II,VII,4).
Date: late third or early fourth century AD. H. 0.44, h. of the head 0.38.
The portrait was placed in antiquity on an earlier statue, inv. nr. 1207, with which it was found. Flavius Valerius Constantius "Chlorus", also called Constantius I, was Roman emperor from 305 to 306, a member of the Tetrarchy established by Diocletianus.
