Regio III - Insula VIII - Edificio III,VIII,1

Nothing seems to have been published about this building. It lies to the south of the Garden Houses, at the end of the excavated area. According to Scavi di Ostia I it was built in the fourth or fifth century AD (opus vittatum), obliterating part of the city wall. The layout, with courtyards and an inner porticus, is intriguing.

Plan of the building. After SO I.
