Cities, villages, fortresses - Aargau - Etzgen

Near the village of Etzgen were three watchtowers on the Rhine, at localities Sandrüti, Hauensteiner Fähre, and Rote Waag. All remains have been destroyed. From Rote Waag comes an inscription from 371 AD, discovered in 1892 during the construction of the railway.
