Unterseen is situated between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. At the locality Baumgarten burials were excavated in 1922-1923 and 2013-2014. A total of 20 cremations and seven inhumations was found. They could be dated to the second and third century. So far a nearby settlement has not been found.
