In Marly, to the south of Villars-sur-Glâne and Freiburg, at the locality Les Râpettes, remains of a villa with polychrome mosaics were noted already in the 19th century, and seen again and destroyed by farmers in the early 20th century. Excavations took place from 1983 to 1985.

The rooms in the west part were bathing rooms. Two rooms had a hypocaust (L2, L4). In between were cold basins (L1, L10). Fragments of paintings were found in this part of the building. The hypocaust in room L4 was later removed. A large amount of charred grain was found in the room, suggesting that it was now used for storage.
