These web pages are intended as a first introduction to the Roman archaeological sites in Switzerland. For the author it is a journey of discovery that he would like to share with you. The readers I have in mind are historians and archaeologists who (like me) are unfamiliar with the archaeology of Switzerland, students and interested laypeople. The questions I have in mind are: "What do we have?" and "What does it look like?". That is why the illustrations are at least as important as the text.
