In the years 1914-1917 and 1991-1992 a villa was excavated in Triengen (about seven kilometers to the north of Sursee), at the locality Murhubel. The construction has been dated to the second half of the first century. Throughout the building a layer resulting from a fire was found, 0.30-0.70 m. thick. Next to the villa a lime kiln was found. One hundred meters further on brickworks with a kiln were discovered.
