Villas - Solothurn - Hägendorf-Santel

The main house and the baths of a villa were excavated in 1933-1934 in Hägendorf (to the south-west of Olten), at the locality Santel. The main house measured 41.85 x 41.70 m. Rooms were arranged around a courtyard. A room in the north-west part was identified as kitchen. The baths were erected some 20 meters to the north-east of the main house. They measured 15.50 x 12.50 m. Some of the rooms had a hypocaust.
