In the built-up area of Oberbuchsiten, some 13 kilometers to the west of Olten, remains of a villa were found at the locality Bachmatt. Excavations were carried out in 1976 and 2004-2007. Small parts were found of the main building, a secondary building, and baths with a hypocaust. The villa was built in the last three decades of the first century, modified in the years 150-170 AD, and used until the second half of the third century.
