It the room next to the room with the "Triton mosaic" a depiction of the Cretan labyrinth was discovered in 1845 (mosaic 5). The mosaic was reburied the same year and unearthed once more in 1930. It has been suggested that the room was a bedroom. It was entered through the western side wall. It is of course not a coincidence that the mosaic was next to a mosaic featuring Theseus and Ariadne. On an old drawing remains of Theseus fighting the Minotaurus can be seen in the centre (lost by 1930).

A bed may have been standing on top of this part. The labyrinth is surrounded by a crenellated wall with gates.
