Cities, villages, fortresses - Zürich - Glattfelden-Rheinsfelden

A watchtower was found to the north of Glattfelden, at the locality Rheinsfelden, on the Rhine to the north-west of Bülach. The remains were noted already in 1864. It was excavated in 1917 and again in 1967. Remains of the foundations can be seen today, rather overgrown. They measured 10 x 10 m. No finds have been made.
