Tomb 16 (Antonine)
Stucco reliefs were found in three central, semicircular niches for urns in the interior. In the first, in the back wall, a funerary meal was depicted (only the outline has survived). A man is lying on a kline, flanked by two women, one holding a lyre. In front of the kline is a small table. In the second, in the left wall, Silenus is seen, sitting on a mule and holding a thyrsus rod. To the right is Pan. Further to the right is a slender column against which a thyrsus rod is leaning and supporting a vessel. The third, in the right wall, has a pastoral scene. Two shepherds can be distinguished, holding a pedum. Two trees are depicted, from one of which a goat standing on its hind legs is eating. In the upper vaulted part of each niche is a peacock on a blue background.
