This block is to the west of the northern half of the Forum. The entire block was excavated in the years 1802-1804. Later the buildings were filled with earth once more. They were re-excavated in the early twenties of the 19th century. In the block we witness the transition from the public area around the Forum (Curia, I,IX,4) to commercial buildings (I,IX,1-3).
