Near Sulz, at the locality Rheinsulz, a watchtower on the Rhine was discovered and excavated in 1987 and 1989. It measures 14.70 x 15.20 m., with walls 2.30 m. thick. The skeleton of a man in his fifties was also found, but the burial could not be dated.
