In 1909 the remains of a limestone quarry were investigated near Concise, on the western shore of the Lac de Neuchâtel, to the east of the old Chartreuse de la Lance (the quarry is also called "carrière de La Raisse"). Later investigations (unpublished?) took place in 1970 and 1997. Large blocks and columns were found. The date in the Roman period has been deduced from a stretch of road nearby. The building material was transported by ship on the lake, from a landing stage 120 meters to the south-west. Fragments of columns were seen in the water.
