In Dällikon, some ten kilometers to the north-west of Zürich, remains of a villa were found at the locality Mühlerain. They were investigated in 1789, 1836, 1842, and on many occasions after the Second World War. Parts of the main building, including bahting rooms with hypocausts, and of a secondary building have been excavated. There may have been a temple just outside the enclosing wall. This has been deduced from the discovery of many coins, of a specific type of ceramics, and from the presence of three small rectangular structures (a central one measuring 5,20 x 5.60 m., flanked by two structures measuring 2.60 x 2.60 m.).
