In Rümikon, in the north-east part of the canton, a watchtower was found at the locality Sandgraben. It was investigated in 1907, 1922 and 1942. It measures 7.75 x 7.90 m., with walls 1.50 m. thick. There was another watchtower at locality Tägerbach (9 x 9 m.).
