A square that may have been the forum was partly investigated on various occasions: in 1984-1985, 1997 and 2002. It had an enclosing wall (4) and would have measured 65-70 x 48 m. On the east part a stretch of a wall was found with two widenings that may have supported columns (5). A Tuscan capital might belong to these. It formed part of a column that must have been 6-7 m. high, with a diameter of 1.10-1.20 m. at the bottom.
Plan of the forum. 1-2: public building with columns; 3: square; 4: enclosing wall; 5: columns. From the Informationstafel. To the east of the square was a large public building (16.40 x 10.40 m.). It had an open vestibule (1) with two columns in the entrance. One drum of a Tuscan column was found that must have been between 4.60 m. and 6 m. high. The passage to the main hall (2) was 2.20 m. wide. The building has been interpreted as a temple and as the curia, the meeting hall of the city council.
