Burials

Burials were found in 1900 and 1908 to the south of the settlement, on the Rossfeld. They were mostly cremations. Of the 167 burials only 26 were inhumations, with the bodies laid to rest in coffins of which iron nails and hinges remained.

Plan of the area with burials. Wiedemer 1909, Abb. 7.

Amongst the many grave goods were vessels of terracotta and glass, terracotta statuettes of female deities and of a horse, and a disc with a female bust.

Grave goods from the burial place. Tschumi 1943, Taf. I-II.
